Background and experience

Sarah originally trained as a chartered accountant working in corporate audit in the Midlands before moving to London and working in client and commercial operation roles for PMI insurers Bupa and Cigna.

This background means she understands the pressures working in a corporate environment brings; finding time to look after our health and wellbeing on a regular basis can be challenging.

She has always been interested in health and wellbeing; and 15 years ago retrained as a physiotherapist and yoga and meditation teacher.

She worked in a clinical and corporate environment; combining treating patients with operational and quality roles for corporate wellbeing providers:

As Head of Wellbeing at Roodlane Medical/HCA Healthcare she was responsible for managing the psychology team and developing wellbeing strategies and programmes for clients.

She now works on a freelance basis to help her own life/work balance, which continually evolves. She runs her own physiotherapy clinic, teaches yoga and meditation individually and through seminars and workshops.

Managing a busy home life with 3 teenagers, working with patients, students and meeting people within the companies she presents to continues to show her the impact looking after ourselves, or indeed not looking after ourselves has on how we perform at work and in all areas of our life.

She is passionate about living and being well, but also about being realistic about how we manage this in our ever-busy lives.
